History is filled with the names of ordinary men and women, poets, and philosophers who were -are- able to touch our Hearts and our Souls with our words. As we listen to the words, we think of them as being extraordinary, we feel encouraged – we feel less alone – and a sense of intimate connection.
An internal part of us is nourished – nurtured – through the language of the poet, one Soul connecting with another Soul. Poet and reader become one, the reader recognizes himself on a level that he was previously unaware of. Unconsciously we hear the invitation to move ever-closer to ourselves.
To listen from the inside – to listen to our own heartbeat and the longing of our Soul...
We may be surprised to hear an unfamiliar voice from within – recognizing our own Wisdom Voice.
Oh dear, beloved friends, as you page through my poetic reflections – my Heart and my Soul encourage you to trek gently through these silent lines.
Your soul, your intuition is the link between the physical world of matter and the Consciousness of the Divine – Your True Self.
As you do, trust your innate Wisdom. Trust your Soul to whisper guidance and Courage into your Heart.
An Extraordinary Life
my mind has been racing
back and forth
I couldn’t hold a thought
yet,
here I am; in silence speak
my pen the instrument
building a bridge on which we meet
My soul spilled across each page
for you to pick up when I leave;
we are connected….
even though we’ll never meet….
I loose myself in the flowing ink
a paradox revealed….
you see yourself in me
I found myself in you
Paper has become the bridge: from me to you
from you to me
I surrender with gratitude
embrace you and life itself.
