I am Gabriele Lightdancer

is a true life story about a successful  46 year old woman who lead a privileged life some could only dream of. She was however overwhelmed by the feeling that ‘something was missing’. With this perplexing feeling of loss inside her she decided to undertake an extraordinary pilgrimage. This pilgrimage took her to Spain and Kashmir and that which started out as a search surprisingly developed into an enlightening path of healing, a road to ‘redemptive victory’. During the journey she remembered dreadful incidents from the past that were tucked away deep in her subconscious for many years. Out of this unique pilgrimage the true Gabriele was born.  The “bruised little girl” that was meant to dance in the light has become a victorious woman in own right – Gabriele Lightdancer.

Lightdancer’s exceptional poetry and photographer in her poetry/coffee table book, Words of Light, truthfully reflect her extraordinary journey to find herself.  At the age of 46 this talented photographer, poet ad author single handily undertook a pilgrimage to Spain and Kashmir. This pilgrimage developed into an enlightening path to healing, a road to ‘redemptive victory’ from being a bruised little girl to a victorious woman in her own right. Her soul-searching poetry and ingenious photography reflect this intimate journey and could be deemed as a piece of art an its own.
